How to discover your Power in Perimenopause and beyond!

Every woman will go through the menopause, some will have mild symptoms and others will have varied and difficult symptoms to manage.

I specialise in helping women to understand what is going on in the body and mind before, during and after the menopause.

Being more informed is a step toward normalising what is going on for women especially when some of the symptoms cause anxiety, mood swings, sleepless nights and cognitive difficulties.

I use recent research in sessions to explain what happens to the female body and brain when hormones are depleted and how lifestyle changes can help.

Understanding why these symptoms exist and then developing strategies that can help is also my focus.

I use psychotherapy techniques to help you to feel more in control and identify what helps you to cope with any difficulties this process is presenting and identify triggers for some symptoms.

Research has shown that if women are given an opportunity to talk about this time of life and reduce the catastrophising and negative forecasting, then these can be replaced with a more balanced sense of wellbeing.

Due to the decrease in hormones that help women to manage stress and anxiety it is even more important during this time of life to find ways to manage stress, and take life at a slower pace to allow for more relaxation.

Hypnotherapy helps to reduce stress and also allows you time to focus on life through a more positive focus. Our moods can be very unpredictable during the various stages of the menopause and hypnotherapy can help find ways to manage this rollercoaster of hormones and emotions.

We are in this together

Use less energy on anxiety and stress and more on you.

I am a clinical hypnotherapist and a perimenopausal woman myself.

What women have said about their experience of working with me

“Jane’s expertly led sessions, exploring both scientific and emotional aspects of menopause, were thoroughly worthwhile and enjoyable. How refreshing it was to have such a safe, creative space to express our concerns, as well as challenge any misconceptions of thinking. We collectively came to regard this season of life with more acceptance, in the natural ebb and flow of our life cycles.”

— Claire

This was a really useful course; informal but informed. It gave the right level of information about how menopause can affect women’s physical and mental health but also a space to pause and think about the real life impact of that. A few light bulb moments, and a chance to reframe and take charge of the menopause experience, spurred on by hearing from other women and feeling a little less alone in it all.”

— Niki

“This course is informative, empowering and fun. Jane provides the tools and knowledge to view the menopause through a different lens and manage your own menopause journey. I’d fully recommend this course!”

— Pippa

“Jane’s manner is inclusive and reassuring. I felt at ease and supported in the group which helped me to think more openly and be able to re-think all the negativity around the menopause.”

— KW

"Thanks Jane for sharing your knowledge and research into the menopause. Its helpful to be aware of what happens to our hormonal levels, how it will effect me and most importantly the things I can do to help myself through it. A very positive insight into the changes happening to me, it left me feeling upbeat".

— Jo

“The programme helped me learn facts about the menopause, ways to help reduce the impact, fun and interesting ways of exploring my thinking and ways forward, meeting inspirational women including Jane.

I most enjoyed feeling like I can turn this around and make it a positive change. Feeling like it is normal and I can accept the menopause and not fight it.

This programme helped me to feel empowered to move forward into this time of my life with positive ways to change.”
