Dreams are group therapy for memories

When we sleep an important function takes place called Rapid Eye Movement and this process removes the emotion from our memories and makes them narrative memories that we have more control over.

Dream sleep via Rapid Eye Movement provides benefits for the brain, creativity happens by putting together all the new information of the day and linking it with old information and we get new novel insights into formally unsolved problems, so the term ‘sleep on it’ is backed up by science! Therefore the better our quality of sleep the better we feel.
